Hey I decided to repost this topic in this section as it wa suggested that this
section is more appropriate, so does anyone know where I can download those
portfolios? I really want them! They have very beutifull artwork.
yes Please scan some, and btw I tried searching google, torrent, eDonkey,
haven't tried kazaa cos it's just BAD, seriously I try to stay away from even
installing it. But yeah I definetly want those portfolios, the art work is just
SOOOOOOOOO beutifull.
Hmmm no comment about fan art, but I think the best thing would be to say
"Unknown fanartist" and "Original Charecter by such and
such" This way you should keep every one happy, but yeah I think it is
pretty important to mention who the original artist is.
Ahhh I think most of the time the anime always cuts stuff off and doesn't draw
the charecters as well. Depends on the anime something like Love Hina - I liked
the manga better where as Naruto the anime is better.

I'll tell you one thing, I'm going to be applying for an art course at uni at
the end of the year and well you need a portfolio (hence why I try to draw much
more now, not sure if I can ge in or not - well off topic anyway). I can say one
thing in the portfolio you are only allowed original work, say what ever you say
but that is saing something right? After all you not going to say the Uni is
full of people that are bad artists like me right? Also in the requirements for
the animation course it has it underlined that no charecter from
anime/manga/super heros is allowed, you must show your ability to draw original
charecters. Yet I again I think that's saying something. No hard feelings for MT
oK? I know you guys are trying to do the best you can, but DA is by far more
successfull site then MT and well they have original art and fan art seperate, I
think there are reasons behind that too. So you can disregard what I said
earlyer, but you should always look at how succesfull site are and try to learn
from that. I think the move to redisng the Doujinshi section will be a good one
and will help MT move towards a brighter future.
Last thing charite I'm gonna say one thing to you about websites, at least my
website is up and running unlike yours, so don't tell me what's wright and wrong
for a website. And to give you a bit of credit, I think 3D work should be
seperate from drawing anyway since it is using a totally different medium - you
can't have paintings and sculpture in the same bag can you? On last note, have a

section, I'm sure you will find alot of great inspirational work.

I've only done fan art once or twice long long time ago and I tell ya it's not

anime picture is not drawn by them. But I guess having a matching bg and colour
theme to accompony the picture is a skill on it's own. Don't know, yet. Maybe
when I spend more time here I'll get one that is. Basically right now any waller
that has his own orginal anime picture in his wall is my fav.

Heh since I run a site I spend alot of time browsing on it. Hmm average per day
would be 7 to 8 hours I usually just surf DeviantART GFX artist and my site at
the same time - tabbed browsing helps that (think opera) , Have photoshop
running with some half finihsed cg and msn. Some times when I get a new game I
just sit there playing that.
MIne sucks cos it's not even mine. When I get my own I'm goona stick 2 fans in
it - one infront of the HDD sucking air from the outside and one in the back
blowing it out. Yes kids having a cool computer is good - it runs more stable.
Don't forget that adding power sucking add ons (leds and etc) can have a down
ward effect on your pc if the PSU isn't very good.
